To keep our directory accurate, we periodically visit publicly-accessible pages on store websites and extract public store information — things like customer service contact phone and emails, shipping policies, return policies and accepted payments.
What this bot does

- Honors
robots.txt. - Identifies itself with the User-Agent:
TotefishStoreDataBot/1.0 - Rate-limits to roughly one request every 3 seconds per domain.
What this bot does NOT do
- It does not log in, place orders, or interact with checkout flows.
- It does not bypass paywalls, captchas, or authentication.
- It does not collect personal information from user profiles or order pages.
